Caliche Sangriento plot

Chile in the year 1879, during the Latin American war between Chile on the one hand and Bolivia and Peru on the other. A commander and seventeen Chilean soldiers are lost in the desert of Atacama. They try to reach the main force of the army that is on the trail of the Peruvians. The men deal with heat and thirst before running into the guerrillas.
