Butterfly l'Attesa plot

Butterfly L'Attesa is a liberal adaptation of Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly, recorded in and around the director Tonino De Bernardi's own home in the Italian region of Piemonte. It is, in the words of the director, a search for the identity of the mysterious Madame Butterfly. While the farmers toil in the fields and life goes on in the filmmaker's house, she anxiously awaits her American lover Pinkerton, who has promised to reunite with her.
