Bubblin' plot

Josephine tries to raise her six-year-old daughter Tamika in the Negril ghetto. However, she barely manages to make ends meet, so she enlists the help of her mother. Tamika can be placed with Grandma temporarily and Josephine is looking for work. An acquaintance of hers draws Josephine's attention to a dance competition that offers hope for a better life. At the same time, her brother Lloyd sinks deeper and deeper into the world of crime.
