Bond Street plot
Four stories of romance and sadness, happiness and tension come from the street (Bond Street) where Julia Chester-Barratt's wedding dress is tended. Her bridal toilet is almost ready, when no further work can be done. Mrs. Brawn - the temperamental seamstress - can't control her nerves in the studio and she messes up Mrs. Taverner's new dress. The new dress should be ready by 6pm that night, so he'd be able to see his mother again for the first time in years. While Mrs. Brawn rushes to the hospital, where her daughter is busy giving birth, her colleagues repair Chester-Barratt's dress and pearl-embellished wedding gown. The bridal veil causes the downfall of a blackmailer and the promise of romance and happiness for his young wife Mary.
