Shuji likes comedy shows and works for a television channel. He recently moved from production to sales, but he still continues to go to work with a smile on his face. One day, Shuji is diagnosed with a terminal illness. The doctor informs Shuji that he has only six months to live. Shuji wonders what he can do to keep a smile on the faces of his wife Ayako and his son. Shuji decides that he must find a person to protect his family in his place.
