The true story of the last fourteen months in the life of George Jackson, who was convicted in 1960 for the robbery of a gas station. He was sentenced to one year to life in prison. He spent eleven years in prison, seven of which were in solitary confinement. He became an activist and writer and was recruited by the Black Panther Party. When his younger brother Jonathan tried to force his brother's release through a hostage-taking in court in 1970, it had dramatic consequences for both brothers.
