In a hotel in Switzerland, the seriously ill Pamela (Maria Schell) accidentally meets her former lover Paul (OW Fischer), who turns out to be on the run from the police. Old love doesn't rust, and both get along very well again. Unfortunately, the situation is different this time, because death is upon Pamela and the police are on Paul's heels.
