Bioscope plot

Diwakaran takes over a cinema from the Frenchman DuPont, who organizes shows on the coast of Tamil Nadu. Because of this, shows are also held in the village. Most villagers welcome the new statues, others suspect this innovation is hiding ghosts of the British. Diwakaran's father is concerned about his sick daughter-in-law Nalini and believes that medicine is unable to cure her.
