Big Money plot
"RIOTOUS SATIRE-On a wise-cracking gangster!"
Just before closing time, errand boy Eddie is sent to the bank by George McCall's real estate agency to deliver $50,000. Due to his weakness for dice rolling, Eddie arrives late at the bank and is unable to return this money safely to the vault. Eddie now has to take the money home. Joan McCall, Eddie's boss's daughter, accepts a joking arrangement to have dinner. When Joan takes him to a restaurant that is actually too expensive for him, Eddie is forced to use the company's money. On his way home, Eddie is then ambushed by the criminals Monk and Lefty.
