Better Off Dead plot

Katherine 'Kit' Kellner is sentenced to death for murdering a police officer. The officer had killed her boyfriend Delmore Davis. Ambitious lawyer Daisy Dubuque ensures that Kit is sentenced to the gas chamber. Ironically, it will be the same Daisy who wants to prevent Kit's execution.
