Berlin-Alexanderplatz - Die Geschichte Franz Biberkopfs plot

After serving four years in prison for murdering his wife, Franz Biberkopf is released in the late 1920s. However, Berlin isn't what it used to be: cars rush past, and the people in the local pub are extremely unfriendly to him. Biberkopf falls in love with Cilly, a girl he meets, but his past continues to haunt him.
