Belle Dormant plot

"Once a upon a time in 2000..."

This modern retelling of the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty/The Sleeping Beauty is set in the year 2000 and is set in the fictional state of Letonia. The 'perfect prince' Egon, who prefers to play his drums all day bored, sets out, much against his father's wishes, into the overgrown, enchanted forest of the kingdom of Kentz in search of Sleeping Beauty. A century earlier, she fell into a deep sleep after pricking herself on a spinning wheel, as prophesied by an evil fairy.
