Battling Jane plot

Jane is a bum and visits a small town in Main. She hears an argument between a man and a woman and the man leaves. The woman faints and dies moments later. Jane finds a baby with the woman and decides to take care of it. This decision leads to a major conflict with the actual father who discovers that Jane has taken his child.
