Bärenjagen plot

In Germany in 1834, a major of the rural gendarmerie offers a reward for anyone who kills the country's last bear. What is intended as a distraction for a discontented population escalates into collective madness and an all-destroying hunt. As everyone spirals further out of control, the last bear itself remains a mysterious, elusive phantom.
