Banoo-Ye Ordibehesht plot
The main character in The May Landy is Frough, a 42-year-old Iranian documentary director. She is successful at work, but is experiencing difficulties in her personal life. Divorced and thinking about starting a new relationship, her teenage son Mani considers himself the man of the house. The result is a subcutaneous war of nerves between mother and son. Meanwhile, her new assignment is to make a documentary on the subject of the ideal mother. She watches videotapes in which women talk about the social problems they are confronted with, such as the consequences of the war with Iraq. The differences from Frough's feelings become painfully obvious.
