Bandini plot
Kalyani is serving a life sentence for committing murder. She tells the guard her story: in the 1930s, during British colonial times, she fell in love with the freedom fighter Bikash. When he doesn't return from a mission and her father can no longer support them, Kalyani leaves for the city. There she becomes a housekeeper for a demanding and mentally unstable woman. When Kalyani learns that her father has been killed and her mistress is Bikash's wife, she is enraged. She takes refuge with Bimalda who tries to keep her to herself.
