Turkey, 1942. On the Orient Express, Ana Remzi asks American secret agent Joe Barton to smuggle a number of secret documents across the border for her. When Barton wants to return the documents in Ankara, he finds Ana dying. Barton is kidnapped to the home of Nazi officer Robinson, where he is tortured. He is rescued at the last minute by Russian secret agents Nikolai and Tamara Zaleshoff, who tell him that Ana was a Soviet spy. But Nikolai and Tamara also turn out not to be who they say they are...
