Polly Fulton is the only daughter of wealthy industrialist BF Fulton. She is about to marry the man of her dreams, lawyer Robert Tasmin. But then she meets the intellectual Thomas Brett. They fall in love and soon they get married. Brett has always rebelled against the wealthy class and their wasteful lifestyle, and now that he has ended up in a wealthy family himself, it is causing problems between him and his newfangled wife.
