Aya plot

Aya, a Japanese war bride, arrives in Australia in the 1950s. Aya and her Australian husband Frank are very much in love, but Aya feels more at ease with the Japanese-speaking Mac. He is a good friend of Frank and has acquired an interest in Japanese culture from his experiences in the war. However, Frank wants Aya to forget her Japanese past.
