Attente plot
Under the motto "No country without a National Theater", a gigantic complex is being worked feverishly in Palestine. The building is still far from standing, but the person responsible does not care. The National Theater will be built and to speed things up, he sends the director Ahmad to recruit future actors in the refugee camps of Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. Ahmad is not very fond of this - he is fed up with Palestine and is about to emigrate to the West. Nevertheless, he accepts the assignment and in the company of a former Palestinian television announcer and her cameraman, he starts the journey. That is the beginning of a journey that takes the trio to countless camps, from Lebanon to Syria to Jordan. The men and women who appear at the audition all have the same dream: to return to Palestine. Like the character Ahmad asks them to play, they are the perfect embodiment of waiting, even if they don't seem to realize it.
