Assignment in Brittany plot
"Every second throbs with suspense and excitement!"
During the German occupation, Captain Pierre Matard was the leader of the French resistance in Brittany. Matard is very similar to Bertrand Corlay, who is being held captive by the Allies because they suspect he was spying for the Nazis. To infiltrate the Nazi spy network, the British secret service asks Matard to take Corlay's place. With this secret assignment, Matard soon has to deal with Anne Pinot, Corlay's girlfriend, who knows nothing about his true identity, but whose side she is on. Matard's assignment becomes more complicated when he falls in love with Anne and the attractive blond Nazi spy Elise has him in her sights.
