Ask-i Memnu plot

Based on the novel by Halit Ziya Usakligil. The film is set in 1900 during the end of the Ottoman Empire. The young woman Bihter (Müjde Ar) holds her mother responsible for her father's death, because her mother committed adultery with another man. To get rid of all the trouble, Bihter leaves her parental home and marries the older Adnan (Sükran Güngör). Behlül (Salih Güney), Adnan's cousin, also lives in the same house. When Behlül falls in love with Bihter, a forbidden love arises.
