Argentine Love plot

Consuelo Garcia is visiting the United States. Her father Emanuel García, the mayor of Alcorta in Argentina, arranges her wedding to Juan Martin in exchange for his financial assistance. On her return, Consuelo, who is in love with the American Philip Sears, rejects Juan Martin's sins. Juan is furious and kills Rafael Cornejo, son of a senator, when he flirts with Consuelo. However, the residents of Alcorta hold Consuelo responsible for the event.
