Après l'Amour plot

On the day when all of Paris celebrates the Nobel Prize-winning novelist François Mesaule, his wife Nicole learns that her husband is leading a double life under the name of M. Richard in a villa in Ville-d'Avray. The next day, François explains to her that everything started nine years ago. During a conference in the Sorbonne, he learned that Nicole had a lover, the journalist Robert Fournier, who regularly took her to the sea on weekends. The same day he met Germaine, a young literature student, who told him she was in love with him. From then on they started a relationship.
