Antonia. plot

The film tells of the last ten years in the short life of the Italian poet Antonia Pozzi (1912-1938). Pozzi was one of the women who could not get used to the way of life in those times. In high school, she began a forbidden love affair with Antonio Maria Cervi, her Greek-Latin teacher, something that would continue to influence her later life. Her poems reflect how she struggled with social norms in the late 1930s in Italy and Europe. Through poetry she escaped the reality of her own complex and emotional life.
