Anna na Shee plot
Anna Petrovna is married to Modest Alexeyevich, a venerable middle-aged civil servant. With the marriage she hopes to be able to provide her father and brothers with financial support. But her husband does not want to help the constantly drunk relatives at all. Life in the Alexeyevich home is dull and monotonous for Anna, until a charity ball is organized.
