Angelo, Tyran de Padoue plot

In Padua, in the sixteenth century, we see the confluence of a love story between four people. Angelo is the mayor of the Republic of Venice. Tyranny and jealous as he is, he does not love his wife Catarina and he is only married out of self-interest. Angelo is in love with Tisbe, an actress who herself is mad about Rodolfo. The latter is in a relationship with a woman he met in Venice when she was a girl. When Angelo learns that his wife is cheating on him, he decides to punish her with death...
