Anduni - Fremde Heimat plot

After her university studies in Germany, Belinda would like to start a family with her boyfriend Manuel. But after a merry family celebration, her father, who also stayed in Germany, dies. But the funeral and everything that follows draws her more and more into the roots of her Armenian immigrant family. For the first time, she has to conform to the standards of her community. She has to get married soon and is promised to her neighbor. At first she had hidden her engagement to Manuel from her family. She doesn't actually feel at home in her family, but at the same time she is becoming increasingly alienated from her German boyfriend, who initially has little understanding for her search for her roots and identity.
