The film tells three stories about the dreams of three people, whose dreams are connected. In the first story, Long Black Song, Farmer Ilas discovers that his wife has been cheating on a white salesman. In the second story, The Boy Who Painted Christ Black, director George Du Vaul must choose between supporting his students or his colleagues. In the third story, The Reunion, jazz musician Philomena bumps into her mother's boss's daughter and helps her with a problem.
