Amada plot

Amada's family has amassed her wealth through the slave trade, but since her father's death, her blind mother has left the estate neglected. Amada's husband, Dionisio, tries to convince the old woman to sell the estate to American companies. Her cousin, a revolutionary and journalist, wants to expose the corruption in their circles and wants to leave Havana with Amada. However, she still feels tied to her family and to social rules and expectations.
