Allons Petits Enfants plot
June 1914. Momo, a boy of twelve, is the pride of his parents, Maurice and Adèle. He wins the honorary prize at school. The family radiates happiness, sings and enjoys the summer. Unfortunately, those moments of happiness are short-lived. The alarm is sounding, it is war, and men are being mobilized. The father has to go to the army, leaving his wife and son alone to take care of the farm. One day the mayor comes to announce the death of Maurice: he was shot because he deserted. This is a disgrace to the family and everyone is abandoning them. Desperate, Momo wants to go to the front himself and fight to restore his family's honour.
