Ali & Ava plot
Teaching assistant Ava has just separated from her abusive husband. The younger Ali has also gone through a divorce, although he hides this from his family by still living with his ex. As a Brit with different roots, he is committed to the Asian community in the English city. Ali and Ava meet and experience the same sense of loneliness. But their budding love runs counter to the expectations of their family and friends.
