Akaler Sandhane plot
A film crew comes to a village to make a film about a famine that killed five million Bengalis in 1943. It was a man-made famine, a byproduct of the war. The film crew leads a pleasant life in the village, but also experiences the dangers, problems and tensions of filming on location. The actors lead a double life and the villagers look at their work with amazement and suspicion. But as the film progresses, the imitation of the past begins to clash with the present.
