Adrift in Manhattan plot

Adrift in Manhattan is the story of three characters who daily find the courage to struggle through the daily routine through their encounters with strange people. Rose, an ophthalmologist paralyzed after the death of her child, has built a wall around her, living in the impossibility of reconnecting with her husband or anyone else. Until an elderly patient, a painter who is losing his sight, begins to visit her practice unannounced. Rose notices how alone this man is and urges him to reach out to someone and accept help. Meanwhile, Simon, a late-blooming teen with a dominant mother, photographs people from afar with a borrowed telephoto lens. One day Rose, beautiful and melancholy, walks through the view of his camera.
