Adela plot

At the turn of the century, Dr. Emil Codrescu returned to the estate of the Podoleanu family after years of absence. He had last seen Adela, the daughter of the house, when she was a three-year-old girl. Now she has grown into a beautiful young woman. dr. Codrescu feels a deep love for her, but does not know how to express it. His love seems to be reciprocated by Adela. Or is she playing a game? There are doubts and misunderstandings back and forth.
