"The world changed for"
Adam Gaines is a talented young linguistics professor who teaches at a university in California. Adam learns of the passing of a distant relative in Missouri. Adam takes a long trip across the country in his Porsche 911T to the funeral. He then decides to spend the summer in Missouri as a worker at a utility utility company. Adam meets Jerry Jo Hopper and he falls in love with her. But now Adam faces an important decision in the direction of his life.
