Acht Mädels im Boot plot

Christa, a young girl of eighteen, an enthusiastic rower, is engaged to chemistry student Hans Hellbach. When she confesses to Hans that she is expecting a baby and wants to marry him, the young man doesn't seem to feel much for it. Christa, disappointed and angry, decides to shell out for herself. Meanwhile, the training for the rowing competitions is not going so well, until Christa's friends and her coach make everything right for her.
