Abschied vom Frieden plot

Prague, 1913. Liberal newspaper mogul Alexander Reither begins to realize that his empire is slowly disintegrating. His family is also growing apart. For example, granddaughter Wally is impressed by the shadowy businessman Marko Gelusich and niece Adrienne visits an illegal anarchist meeting, where she meets the young socialist Joseph Krokop. During a business trip to Vienna, Alexander falls for the young Irene von Claudi. He decides to introduce her to the family. Based on FC Weiskopf's novel of the same name.
