A Zsarnok Szíve, Avagy Boccaccio Magyarországon plot

Hungary, 15th century. Hungarian Gaspar, who grew up in Italy since the age of two, returns as a grown man to his father's castle, followed by a group of traveling actors. There he finds that his mother is in a sort of trance state and is said to drink the blood of virgins to stay young forever. Upon request, he assumes the kingship in his native land and soon becomes the plaything of rival rulers.
