A Whale for the Killing plot
"Nature betrayed it. Whalers wanted it. And a whole town is ready to kill it."
Ecologist Charles Landon and his family are thrown by a violent storm in a small village on the island of Newfoundland. When a humpback whale lands on the beach as a result of that same storm, he tries to save the creature and does everything he can to prevent the less charitable plans of the locals from being carried out.
