A Time to Sing plot

Grady is a young farmer who prefers to play his guitar and sing. His conservative uncle Kermit doesn't like this. During a trip to town, Kermit loses the family fortune in a game of poker. To help his family recover, Grady records a song for a local TV show. This makes him a sensation and a much sought-after performer in show business, much to his uncle's liking.
