A Month of Sundays plot
"It's easy to forgive, sometimes it just takes a while..."
Famous baseball reporter Charley McCabe (Rod Steiger) is in danger of being placed in a home by his family after suffering a minor stroke. Especially now that Charley will no longer be on this earth for long, he wants to fulfill the promise he made to his late wife Barbara (Mary Boucher). Charley comes to the decision to look for his son Tomas (Michael Paré), whom he has not seen for years. He is assisted in this by the one who loves him most: his granddaughter Biddy (Corina Marie) with her 'hidden' little brother Jeremy (Jeffrey William Tott). Par Sundquist (Jamie Farr) and Onida Roy (Sally Struthers) also help them in his quest. Charley's long-held family secret, which led to his son's exile and torn the family apart, is slowly emerging. Surprisingly, it is the irony of life that can heal the wounds of love. On this important journey, Charley learns to let go of the past and move on peacefully...
