A Dark Adapted Eye plot

Faith Severn tells the story of her aunts Vera and Eden. She stayed with them as a child when London was bombed during World War II. She watched their relationship change, from morbid closeness to ongoing conflict and hostility that eventually resulted in murder. At the center of all this is a child, a baby actually. But from whom, and where did the child go? Based on Ruth Rendell's novel of the same name.
