...A Bude Hur plot

Sex, drugs and rock and roll in a communist state. The film takes place in the 1970s in the northern part of Czechoslovakia that was occupied by the Soviets. Olin is released from a psychiatric hospital, which he once ended up in by slitting his wrists to avoid military service. A few weeks later, he becomes an important figure in the underground scene that attracts a lot of attention and one day he decides to flee to the west as he always dreamed.
