A Beautiful Life plot

Don't know what to do, 16-year-old Maggie wanders aimlessly through the cold and bleak streets of New York. Comic book star Esther sees her and takes her inside. She arranges for illegal immigrant David to give her shelter for the night. Maggie and David don't want to know each other at first, but see that they are both in the same boat. They are falling in love with each other. They both cannot find work and decide to become a drug courier together, with all the consequences that entails.
