23 Brieven van Vincent plot

The film “23 Letters from Vincent” covers the period from September 11 to December 5, 1883, when Vincent travels through Drenthe and writes 23 letters, mainly to his brother Theo. The young, ambitious, relatively uninhibited Van Gogh is still full of dreams. For example, he wants to start an artists’ colony in Southeast Drenthe. Nature and the real life of people in the peatland inspire him.
