"When justice lies within the confines of a conscience"

Juan, a 17-year-old member of a street gang, is arrested for murder and must appear in court. However, instead of jail time, he is sentenced to live with a family who have lost a child to violence from a street gang. It seems like a situation that everyone involved could benefit from, but when Kate, the young daughter of the couple, starts flirting with Juan, the whole situation takes an unexpected turn.
