When the Great Depression hit America in the 1920s, it was hard to find work, but if you were poor and black, it was nearly impossible. Asa Philip Randolph, a black journalist and an educated socialist, tries to raise a voice for these forgotten workers. He is willing to fight for these people and create the first black union in America.
