Zonder Schoenen Overleef Je Niet plot

In Trieste, Italy, the elderly couple Lorena and Gian Andrea take care of the broken feet of refugees who walked through the Croatian and Slovenian forests for 20 days. Refugees who survived the infamous Balkan route. Usually they have nothing with them, no backpack with some stuff, no drink, no food, no documents. And if they are unlucky, their shoes have been confiscated by the Croatian border police.
