You're Gonna Miss Me plot
The 'rise & fall' story about Roger Kynard Erickson, a rock 'n roll pioneer in the 60s with his band 13th Floor Elevators, who helped put psychedelic rock on the map. Problems with schizophrenia and drug abuse led him, after declaring himself mentally insane, to a mental institution. When he left the clinic after 3 years, he re-established a rock band in the 1970s, the somewhat heavier Roky Erickson and the Aliens. But having lost interest in music, he leads a secluded life in poverty and an unhygienic environment.
